The displays may be too frightening for small children, according to organizers.

Last year, about 8,000 people visited the Field of Screams.

The ranch, which is near Vernon, holds the maze to raise funds that help keep the historic location open.

This year’s Field of Screams runs Oct. 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29.

Gates open at 6:00pm. The maze is open from 7:00pm until 10:00pm with food trucks on site.
