Attridge and Idylwyld road work progressing, traffic restrictions change

New traffic restrictions on Attridge Drive and Idylwyld Drive started up Wednesday in Saskatoon.

Eastbound traffic on Attridge Drive near Central Avenue will be changing to single-lane during off-peak hours as upgrades are made.

The single-lane restriction is needed to complete the new east and west medians. This work is expected to completed late next week, weather permitting.

Two-lane traffic on Attridge will be maintained during peak hours.

Another restriction started Wednesday, this affecting Idylwyld Drive traffic over Ruth Street.

The work on the overpass consists of final concrete surface finishes and the installation of the expansion joint seals. It will be completed in phases and around peak traffic hours to limit the impact to drivers.

What motorists can expect:

  • Idylwyld traffic will have rolling lane closures for three days. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times.
  • During peak morning traffic hours, the two northbound lanes will remain open. The two southbound lanes will open during peak evening traffic hours.

Crews are expected to be done their work on the overpass by 10:30 p.m. CT on Friday, weather permitting.
