PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – A 35-year-old Peterborough man has been charged with sexually assaulting his daughter.
Peterborough police say they received information earlier this month regarding the accused allegedly sexually assaulting his daughter, who is a child under the age of 12.

They say officers arrested the man on Sunday.
The man, whose name is not being released to protect the identity of the victim, is charged with sexual assault on a person under the age of 16 and sexual interference on a person under the age of 16.
