It might be a season for the record books for the Vancouver Canucks, but for all the wrong reasons.
The media outlet Sportsnet and video game giant EA Games are both predicting the Canucks will finish last in the standings this year. It seems the doom and gloom is already affecting ticket prices.

Tickets for home games this coming weekend are selling for as low as $45.

“You can even sit this year in our lower bowl for less than $100,” Jeff Stipec, the Canucks’ chief operating officer, said.
Stipec added that season ticket renewals are down “a couple percentage points.”
“That’s actually created some tickets for us to sell. What you see now if you look at our single-game pricing, you’re going to see some price points like $39 in our upper bowl.”
The third-party marketplace also offers some discounts. Several pairs of tickets to upcoming home games can be found on Craigslist for below face value.
