Edmonton police say both northbound lanes of 97 Street have been shut down Sunday evening while only one southbound lane remains open as officers investigate a “serious collision” that saw a female suffer serious injuries.

Police did not say how old the female was but said she was taken to hospital.
The crash happened at around 5:30 p.m. Sunday by 97 Street and 127 Avenue.
According to police, officers believe two or three vehicles were involved in the crash.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area while police investigate what caused the crash.
