Saskatoon man found guilty of manslaughter

A jury in Saskatoon has found Stacey L’Herault, 47, not guilty of second-degree murder but guilty of manslaughter.

L’Herault was on trial in the death of 51-year-old Christopher Schaan.

Schaan was found badly injured in the 1200-block of Avenue F North in February 2015. L’Herault was initially charged with aggravated assault but that charge was upgraded to second-degree murder after Schaan died in hospital.

Sentencing is scheduled to begin on Feb. 17, 2017.
