You’ll want to give yourself extra time on the roads this morning following Saskatchewan’s first snowfall of the season.

Roads in and around the city are slick and morning traffic is moving slowly.

The Highway Hotline is currently reporting that travel is not recommended on a number of roads in southern Saskatchewan.

That includes Highway 1 from Moose Jaw to Swift Current.

Highway 33 from Regina to Kroneau is also seeing drifting snow and ice patches.

RCMP are warning motorists to drive according to conditions, after responding to 46 accidents by mid-afternoon Wednesday.

The majority of those crashes were in the southwest corner of the province and the biggest contributing factor was speed.
