Penticton murder victim remembered at Spirit Vigil – Oct 5, 2016

PENTICTON, B.C. – Members of the Penticton Indian Band held a candlelight vigil Tuesday night for Sisters in Spirit day and to honour the memory of a local woman who was murdered.

They remembered 42-year-old Diane Stewart who was killed 20 years ago on the reserve. Her remains were found five months after she went missing.

The national Sisters in Spirit vigil honours murdered and missing aboriginal women.
