2 bodies found in vehicle near North End school

WINNIPEG — Police have closed down a section of a North End street after two bodies were found inside a parked car.

Officers were called to the 200 block of College Avenue around 10:30 a.m. Monday after someone noticed two people who appeared to be passed out.

Police have now confirmed they are investigating the death of two people inside the vehicle.

At this point police tell Global News it is too early to confirm the cause of death but did say people in the area are not at risk.

A spokesperson said officers on scene are handling this case as discreetly as possible because the car is parked near Machray Elementary School.
