Lindsay Lohan almost ‘loses a finger’ in boating accident

Lindsay Lohan nearly lost her ring finger after she got in a boating accident in Turkey on the weekend. The actress shared a video on Snapchat on Sunday morning, detailing how the the incident went down.

The Mean Girls star debuted her bandaged hand in the short Snapchat shortly after the incident. According to the video, Lohan hacked a chunk of her finger off while trying to get the rope to anchor the boat.

In a separate Snapchat photo, the 30-year-old elaborated on her story in a caption.

“I almost lost my finger from the anchor. Well, I lost half my finger, thank goodness we found the piece of my finger,” the actress told her fans.

Lohan underwent emergency surgery to reattach the missing part of her finger. “I just had surgery to fix it. It hurts so bad,” she said.

The Freaky Friday star took to Twitter on Oct. 3 to clarify that her finger was “ripped off.”


TMZ also posted some graphic photos of Lohan’s finger pre-surgery. The website said her friends had to locate the severed portion and then rush her to the hospital.

Lohan has been spending time with friends in the Mediterranean since an explosive fight with her ex-fiancé, Egor Tarabasov, in late July.

The Parent Trap star accused him of cheating and partying hard in a series of social media posts and even hinted that she might be pregnant.

Despite the tragic incident, Lohan is still in good spirits as she took to Instagram on Monday to share her first selfie since the incident, making light of the injury writing: “One-handed selfie!”
