A pedestrian is in serious condition after a collision in East Vancouver Sunday morning.
The victim was struck by a westbound taxi on East Hastings Street near Skeena Street around 4:30 a.m.
Police closed East Hastings from Skeena to Cassiar as they investigated. Eastbound lanes on Hastings have since re-opened.

Vancouver Police Department reports the man was jaywalking when crossing the road.
The taxi driver is cooperating with police.
The VPD say the man was the 10th pedestrian to be killed by an automobile collision in the city this year.
Police say alcohol was not a factor.
