A 22-year-old woman is in hospital after she was struck by a taxi while attempting to cross Lucien-L’Allier Street in Montreal’s Ville-Marie borough.
According to police it happened shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday.
The woman was walking westbound on Saint-Antoine Street when she was struck by the cab heading southbound on Lucien-L’Allier Street.
Police spokesperson Jean-Raphaël Bergeron said the woman crossed the intersection against a red light.
She was taken to hospital with head injuries and is in stable condition.
A perimeter established as police investigated was lifted by 5:30 a.m.
