A woman was killed and a man suffered serious injuries in a crash south of Calgary on Thursday.
It happened on Highway 2, about six kilometres south of High River, just before midnight.
RCMP said a northbound SUV collided head-on with a car travelling southbound.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, a 32-year-old man, was airlifted to hospital in Calgary by STARS Air Ambulance.
“All possible contributing factors into this collision are being investigated,” RCMP said in a news release.
Traffic on southbound Highway 2 was detoured around the crash; one lane on northbound Highway 2 remained open.
The town of High River is located about 70 kilometres south of Calgary.
