Trial delayed for Saskatchewan man accused of killing woman, burning her body

SASKATOON – The first-degree murder trial of Douglas Hales has been delayed again.

He’s accused of killing 25-year-old Daleen Bosse, who vanished in 2004.

Her burned body was discovered in a secluded area near Warman, Sask., in August 2008.

After hiring his third different lawyer since his arrest, Hales is now set to begin trial on April 15, 2013.

The case will be heard by judge alone and is expected to last four weeks.

Hales also faces a charge of offering an indignity to a human body; the Crown alleges he set Bosse’s body on fire after killing her.

Bosse was last seen leaving Jax Night Club in Saskatoon, where Hales worked as a bouncer.
