Deadly carfentanil drug possibly uncovered in Winnipeg

WINNIPEG — A 37-year-old Winnipeg man is facing numerous charges after it’s believed a raid on a west end hotel uncovered tens of thousands of dollars in drugs.

Officers executed a search warrant on Monday where they found 1477 blotter tabs they believe to be carfentanil, with an estimated street value of about $ 30 thousand. Grayson Richard Parris is charged with the following:

  • Possess scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possess scheduled substance
  • Possess proceeds of crime
