GLACE BAY, N.S. – The Nova Scotia government is expanding co-operative education programs across the province.
Deputy Premier Frank Corbett made the announcement today at Glace Bay High School in Cape Breton, saying more students will be able to learn in the workplace.

Co-operative education is being introduced at Baddeck Academy and Islands Consolidated in Freeport, Digby County.
Glace Bay High School and Breton Education Centre are also expanding their existing co-op programs to more eligible students.
Corbett says two full-time co-op teachers have been hired at Sydney Academy and Riverview, with the program now offered at 85 out of 87 high schools across the province.
Students can also do the program through the summer.
