WINNIPEG — It’s been years in the making, but the Red River Exhibition could soon expand its borders.

The park’s CEO, Garth Rogerson will be at city hall Tuesday evening, presenting a major expansion plan to the Assiniboia Community Committee.

The Ex is looking at developing 390 acres of land located in the Rural Municipality of Headingley over the next 30 years, according to a report heading to the committee.

The goal is to change the park into a world class facility for both the public and for trader shows, according to CEO Garth Rogerson.

Rogerson said the completed expansion would also include a retail centre, office park and hotels.
