Peel Regional Police are continuing their GTA-wide search for an elderly Brampton man who has been missing for three days.
Shamsher Virk, 69, was last seen around 6 p.m. Thursday in the Ivy Lea Court and Forrester Drive area, north of Chinguacousy Road and Steeles Avenue West, after he went for a walk.
Police and family are concerned for Virk’s well-being because he is diabetic and has not taken his medication.
Virk is known to walk long distances when disoriented and has walked to Toronto in the past, according to a Peel police spokesperson.
Police are asking residents to check their properties and nearby open spaces.
Virk is described as South Asian, standing 5’6”, 160 pounds, with a long white beard and a medium build.
He was last seen wearing a long white shirt, white pants, a black turban and black dress shoes.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
