Heading back to class this fall was extra special for a young brother and sister from the Edmonton area.
Emma Nagel and her brother Cameron received a pretty special ride to school Thursday morning.
Emma, who is going into Grade 9, is battling two rare diseases, one of which claimed her sister’s life. Cameron, who started Grade 2, has been diagnosed with muscular dystrophy.
The siblings hope to spend more time in the classroom this year, instead of in the hospital. So on Thursday morning, Global Edmonton’s Nancy Carlson and CISN Country’s Chris Scheetz helped make sure their first day back was unforgettable.
