Man wanted for attempted murder after shooting at Regina house party

A province-wide warrant has been issued for a Punnichy, Sask. man wanted for attempted murder after a shooting in east Regina.

On Aug. 28, Regina police officers found a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound at a party on 85 Rootman Ave. Officers were originally called to the house for a report of a noisy party.

The victim was treated in hospital and has since been released.

Police say the warrant has been issued for Adam Taniskishayinew, 24, also known as Adam Pratt. He is described as aboriginal, with short black hair, brown eyes, 5’9″ and weighing about 160 to 170 pounds with a slim build.

Taniskishayinew is charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm.

Police are asking the public not to approach Taniskishayinew as he is considered violent and may be armed.
