2 people charged in northern Alberta drug bust

Alberta RCMP have laid drug-related charges after conducting a search warrant in a northern Alberta community.

Police said they found 88 grams of cocaine, 82 grams of methamphetamine and a vehicle used for selling drugs at a home in Whitecourt, Alta.

Tyler Anthony Kaurin and Danica Grieves-Pollard were charged with trafficking in cocaine and meth, possession of cocaine and meth for the purpose of trafficking, and having proceeds from criminal activities.

Kaurin was on parole during the arrest and has been remanded into custody.

Grieves-Pollard was released on bail and will appear in Whitecourt court on Sept. 13.
