If want to make make an impression on your first day back to school, look no further than these five Hollywood beauties.
Each has made a side career out of talking about their beauty regimens, and each has a different take on what beauty is. There’s the girly girl (Canadian Shay Mitchell) and the rebel (Rihanna); there’s even the diva (Victoria Beckham).
Feel like taking on a new look on Sept. 6? Here’s some advice from five A-listers.

For the natural girly girl: Shay Mitchell
The 27-year-old Canadian actress might play a sporty teen on the TV series Pretty Little Liars, but in real life Mitchell’s a girly girl who loves makeup.
She recently revealed to Teen Vogue that she “grew up in Toronto where it’s freezing and snowing all the time,” so her first makeup product was Carmex (a soothing balm like Vaseline).
In the interview, she went on to discuss her particular beauty ethos: less is more.
“I see a lot of girls who wear a lot of makeup but it should be more about enhancing what you have — not covering it up. Instead, focus on taking care of your skin.”
Her advice for fans is simple: “When I’m on vacation, I might try a pop of color on my lips and if I’m going out at night, I’ll probably try winged eyeliner, but for the most part I tend to stick with my lip balm and mascara. I think less is more. You don’t need to cake it on.”
It’s a viewpoint she also avidly promotes on her popular YouTube channel.
Here, for example, is how she crafts the perfect smokey eye. It’s simple and perfectly on-trend for fall 2016 (the look was showcased on runways like Nicole Miller, Pucci and Chloé).

For the rocker: Rihanna
Rihanna has had plenty of iconic beauty moments and pulled off some looks that not many would dare to try – for example, the bright-blue-lipstick-with-a-mullet moment below.
With seven fragrances under her belt and multiple MAC collections, it’s clear she’s in the know of what works for her and what doesn’t when it comes to beauty.
What’s her biggest bit of advice? Wear a bold lipstick.

“It draws attention away from any flaws,” she told ELLE magazine. “When someone is wearing lipstick, you just assume they’re wearing a full face of makeup. And guys are stupid — they won’t notice when you’re not.”
With that, here is a Rihanna-inspired makeup tutorial by Joseph Harwood (she showcases us how to get an edgy lip a la RiRi).
While dramatic, the look will be popular this fall thanks to designers like Marc Jacobs and Dior who went full-gothic on their 2016 runways.
For Ms. Popular: Kylie Jenner
Many refer to this model as the “Snapchat Queen” because she has so many followers; fans that lap up her multiple makeup and beauty tutorials.
One of her most popular segments to date has been about acne.
As Jenner knows, pimples can make or break a day (especially if you’re the “it” girl everyone wants to look at), and she’s not afraid to talk about how she copes with regular breakouts.
Her secret? She uses Mario Badenscu’s drying lotion.
You take a cotton swab and you get “down deep in there and get your solution” and then you apply the cotton swab to your affected area. Jenner urges fans not shake the product, and adds after just a use or two, pimples will disappear.

Other popular videos from Jenner, include her tutorials about getting a natural glow. (We’re going to assume that’s because Stella McCartney and Marchesa popularized the look on their fall 2016 runways.)
In the video below, Jenner works with makeup artist Ariel Tejada to show viewers how to look beautifully tanned and flushed this season.
For the hair lover: Margot Robbie
If you’re the kind of person who likes to play with their locks, rocking a ’90s look like Harley Quinn’s from Suicide Squad could be perfect for you for back-to-school.
The rainbow-hued hairstyle has become so popular, even celebrities like Ruby Rose are requesting it from their stylists.
What’s cool about the trend is there are a variety of ways you can play around with it. You can dye just your bangs (dubbed “rainbow bangs”), or do a dip-dye (a la Gwen Stefani); you can even go for more subtle babylights.
Whatever your preference, rainbow hair – like the 26-year-old actress’s – remain the gold standard. (Even Julianne Hough, Katy Perry and Kelly Ripa have jumped on board.)
Here’s how to rock the look yourself with a little help from YouTuber Miranda Hedman.

For the diva: Victoria Beckham
This former Spice Girl is known for being a globe-trotting beauty queen, but what many don’t know is it actually takes her very little time to get ready (even though she has a ridiculous routine).
She also likes to take bee pollen, which she revealed in a Vogue interview in 2014, as she “can’t have wrinkles!”
Here’s “Posh” giving the publication an exclusive look at her daily makeup routine.
