Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch in Saskatchewan for Prince Albert, the Battlefords, Meadow Lake and the surrounding regions.
The agency said conditions are favourable for the development of scattered storms Monday afternoon that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail.

The reason is a low pressure system centred in Alberta.
Severe thunderstorm watches are issued by Environment Canada when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that can produce large hail, damaging winds and/or torrential rainfall.

High 19. Mainly cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of showers late in the morning and in the afternoon. Risk of a thunderstorm. Five to 10 mm of rain is expected. Winds picking up from the north at up to 20 km/h in the afternoon.
