Langley RCMP have apprehended two suspects and a substantial amount of firearms and drugs after searching a property.
On Aug. 18, RCMP Drug Section, with the assistance of the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team, the Langley Prolific Offender Suppression Team, the Street Enforcement Unit, and Traffic Unit searched the property at #401 5220 203 St. and discovered 25 firearms, stolen property, and illicit drugs.
Police seized over two dozen guns, including assault rifles, shot guns, sawed-off shot guns, handguns, and antique firearms, as well as a large amount of ammunition and a silencer. They also obtained stolen property and drugs, including cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, and marijuana, that they believe are consistent with the purpose of drug trafficking.
Two people were arrested – a 35-year-old male and a 31-year-old female – who previously had outstanding arrest warrants from other firearm-related charges in the province. Police say one male was taken to hospital due to medical issues not related to the investigation.
Charges have not yet been laid, but Langley RCMP continue their investigation.
