A 23-year-old man is recovering in hospital after he was hit by a car while crossing Berri Street, at the corner of Ste-Catherine Street.
Police were called to the scene at 12:35 a.m. Sunday.
The pedestrian was struck by a car heading south on Berri Street, as he was heading east along Ste-Catherine Street.
He was rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
However it is still unclear whether the pedestrian or the 19-year-old driver of the car ignored traffic signals.
According to police it is possible one of the two crossed against a red light.
Collision experts were at the scene overnight in an attempt to shed some light on the circumstances leading to the crash.
The investigation continues.
