Hugh Jackman’s Instagram appearance sparks speculation

Hugh Jackman fans are worried after a photo surfaced of the action film star looking skinny and gaunt.

Jackman posted the photo of himself on his Instagram page Wednesday, standing in front of a plate of fish with an earbud in and giving a thumbs-up.

“Now that’s what I’m talking about!” the caption reads.

Comments under the photo indicate that fans are very concerned about the Australian’s drastic change in appearance.

A video also posted to the Wolverine actor’s Instagram shows him standing with two deer, also appearing thinner than usual.

“Did you [lose] weight?” wrote Instagram user dilekkoksalgrsy. “Still handsome but don’t lose weight please.”

“Are you sick?” user natalydp commented. “Please take care.”

Others have also speculated that he was wearing makeup for an upcoming Wolverine film – his seventh and last role in the film franchise.

In January, the 47-year-old announced on Instagram that he had a fourth bout of skin cancer.

“An example of what happens when you don’t use sunscreen. Basal cell. The mildest form of cancer. PLEASE WEAR SUNSCREEN and get check ups regularly,” he captioned with a photo of him wearing a bandage on his nose.

The third installment of Wolverine, directed by Walk The Line director James Mangold, is set to be released in March 2017.

Jackman first emerged onto the scene as Wolverine in the 2000 movie X-Men. It grossed over $373  million worldwide when in theatres, according to Box Office Mojo.
