Shortly after the 20th year anniversary of Olimpia Mikszan’s disappearance, an anonymous donor is offering a $25,000 reward for any information leading to the now-38-year-old’s location.
June 21, 2016 marked twenty years since the Abbotsford teen went missing from her basement suite in 1996. Previous appeals from police for information regarding Mikszan’s whereabouts have not produced any leads.
Mikszan was last seen outside her residence in central Abbotsford. The following evening, some of her friends went into her suite and called police when they discovered her missing.
A missing person’s investigation was launched and several tips were received, but none led to finding the 18-year-old.
Mikszan is a Caucasian woman, 5’2” tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. She and her family emigrated from Poland to Canada in 1990.
In June this year, Mikszan’s mother pleaded to the public to bring her daughter home.
“She is a very special person. She is a wonderful daughter and sister,”said Elzbieta Mikszan. “Where is she? What happened? We want the truth. I want to know what happened to my daughter.”
Anyone with information about Olimpia Mikszan should contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225 or text them at 222973 (abbypd) or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
