RCMP and forensics investigators are on the scene of a house fire in Eastern Passage, Monday morning.
Neighbours say a male resident of the home was killed in the fire that erupted late Sunday night and burned on into the early morning hours of Monday.

A police medical examiner has not yet arrived on scene.
People who live in the area say they heard shots fired within the home before seeing smoke and fire.
When fire crews arrived, residents in nearby homes were evacuated and told to go across the street to a bus shelter until the blaze was under control.
