WINNIPEG — The Tragically Hip were in Winnipeg Friday for an emotional night of music and memories.

In May, the Canadian rock band announced that frontman Gord Downie had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, and would play one last tour over the summer.

The Hip’s Man Machine Poem Tour has been travelling across Canada since July and will end in Kingston on August 20.

Tickets for any stop of the tour sold out almost immediately.

During the Hip’s Winnipeg stop, fans shared images and videos from the emotional concert to social media.
