TORONTO – The Ontario Provincial Police continue their investigating after a tractor trailer collided with two Ministry of Transportation trucks on Highway 401 in Mississauga early Thursday morning.
The incident happened around 12:05 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 at Winston Churchill Boulevard.
According to police, the tractor trailer drove into the rear of a highway crash truck that was involved in a highway closure from a previous accident.

When the crash truck was struck, it spun around hitting the pickup truck and one of the cleanup vehicles.
A worker from the cleanup crew, who was working on the side of the highway at the time of the accident, was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The driver of the tractor trailer was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 is closed at Winston Churchill Boulevard for the investigation. One right lane has since been reopened.
The OPP Port Credit Detachment is investigating this collision and any witnesses are asked to call 905-278-6131.
