Dead man pulled out of North Saskatchewan River in Prince Albert

The Prince Albert Police Service says a man’s body was pulled out of the North Saskatchewan River on Sunday.

Just after 9 a.m. CT, officers responded to a report of someone in the river.

The man was found deceased between Central Avenue and 1st Avenue West near the south bank, just a short distance from the shore.

Members of the Prince Albert Fire Department assisted with recovering the body.

The man’s name and age have not been released.

Police and the coroner’s office continue to investigate the cause of death. An autopsy has been ordered.
