TORONTO – During a TIFF red carpet event for Bill Murray’s new movie Hyde Park on Hudson, the legendary comedy actor Bill Murray told ET Canada that a new Ghostbusters script is in the works.
Murray told ET Canada’s Roz Weston that a new script is in the works, and insinuated that he would be willing to be a part of it if the script was good enough.

“It comes up a lot, the idea of doing another Ghostbusters, and we’ll see, there’s another script in the process and we’ll see if it’s good,” Murray said. “It’s got to be really good though because the first one was so great.”
Murray played Dr. Peter Venkman in 1984’s Ghostbusters and the film’s 1989 sequel.
The success of the two movies still relevant more than twenty years since the last movie, as some fans still dress in Ghostbusters garb at Murray’s events.
“There’s some Ghostbusters hysteria over there, there’s someone carrying around a giant, a very large doll of a marshmallow man,” Murray said.
