Police are searching for an Alberta man on charges connecting to trafficking fentanyl.

After Justin Myles Stuart was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime, a search warrant was conducted at Stuart’s Grande Prairie home on July 22, but he was not at the residence.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

However, ALERT said three people were arrested during the search warrant. Laurie Willier, Abel Araya and Eden Maclean are facing the same charges as Stuart.

Police also seized 423 fentanyl pills, 21 grams of methamphetamine and $1,530 in cash proceeds of crime.

ALERT started the investigation in June after receiving information about a suspected fentanyl dealer in Grande Prairie.

Anyone with information about Stuart’s whereabouts is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
