A new housing project proposed for Saskatoon’s Market Mall could accommodate hundreds of people.
The proposal is for a 440-unit condo complex to be built in the north east corner of what is now the mall’s parking lot.
It would be three buildings, all linked, from nine to 12 stories high and four levels of underground parking.

It’s being proposed by Fishman Holdings North America, a Toronto-based property company.
Saskatoon-based RBM Architecture has been hired to design the complex.

The proposal goes to the city’s municipal planning commission on Tuesday.
If approved by the commission, the proposal will head to city council on Aug. 18.

Market Mall, developed in the 1960s, was Saskatoon’s first enclosed shopping centre.
