Paramedic charged in sexual assault of patient in ambulance west of Toronto: police

A 57-year-old paramedic has been charged after police say an adult female patient was sexually assaulted inside an ambulance in Halton Region last year.

Halton Regional police said Friday Tad Nelson of Dundas, Ont., was arrested and charged with sexual assault and voyeurism in connection with the alleged October 2015 incident.

Police declined to provide further details on the sexual assault and voyeurism charges, citing privacy concerns.

Nelson was scheduled to appear in a Milton, Ont. bail court Friday. Halton Region is about an hour west of Toronto.
