North Vancouver RCMP confirm a man in his late 50s has died after having a cardiac issue on Grouse Mountain Wednesday night.
The incident took place around 8pm at half-way mark of the grind.
Staff Sergeant Paul Duffy says family members are being notified.
Mike Danks with North Shore Rescue, says one of their members was doing the hike when he saw the man collapse.
He called 9-1-1 and alerted North Shore Rescue.
A long line was used to bring an emergency room physician and an ER nurse to the patient.
The man was put on an auto pulse device for transport.
Danks says the man was then taken to their station to wait for BC Ambulance.
