Fort St. John was hit with two hours of heavy rain Tuesday that resulted in flash flooding.
RCMP Constable Graham McElgunn says rain came out of nowhere. He says it was a sunny 27-degree day just hours before.
He says most of 93rd Avenue was flooded, as well as the north side of Totem Mall.

Mathews Park – a residential neighbourhood – was also affected.
McElgunn says some areas saw water as deep as 2.5 feet.
He says some cars were stranded as they were completely covered in water.
Luckily he says no injuries have been reported.
City crews were quick to mobilize. Only a few roads remain barricated.
McElgunn says flooding began around 7 p.m.
