Burnaby RCMP and Coquitlam Search and Rescue have found Hyu McCann, a 12-year-old with Down syndrome missing for several hours this afternoon.
McCann and his mother were preparing to leave their apartment, near Metrotown, on a walk when he left the buiding. Police believe Hyu thought his mother had already left without him, when in fact she was still looking for her purse inside the home.

“I’m shocked, but super happy obviously,” said his father Tim.
“You can’t describe how it feels unless you’re a parent and your son goes missing.”
