Hot air balloon hits tree in Langley field

Six passengers and a pilot are OK after a hot air balloon they were riding in crash landed in a field Thursday morning.

The balloon, operated by Sundance Balloons, hit a tree and then got stuck on a light standard in the athletic field at Brookswood Secondary.

“It was a nice flight but a bad landing,” said one passenger, adding that everyone was alright and that it was a “fun day.”

Bill Yearwood with the Transportation Safety Board says they are aware of the incident and it has been recorded but it will not warrant a full investigation.
