Pilot dead after small aircraft crash near Rocanville, Sask.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is investigating a fatal aircraft crash in southeast Saskatchewan.

At around 6:15 p.m. CT on Friday, Moosomin RCMP were called to a farm near Rocanville, Sask.

Upon arrival, police and emergency services located a small aircraft and the pilot.

The pilot was later pronounced dead at the scene by a coroner. The victim’s name has not been released but RCMP said he has been identified as a 22-year-old man.

TSB deployed a team of investigators to the site to gather information and assess the occurrence.
