The search for a missing diver in northern Saskatchewan has ended after his body was located by police near Buffalo Narrows.

The diver was reported missing when he left the channel between Peter Pond Lake and Churchill Lake during the dive on July 3.

An extensive search was undertaken by community members and Buffalo Narrows RCMP.

His body was located on the third day of the search by the RCMP underwater recovery team.

Police say the 49-year-old man was an avid recreational scuba diver who was working in Buffalo Narrows.
