RCMP are searching for a man wanted for second-degree murder and attempted robbery in connection with a man’s death in Onoway, Alta. last week.
Police allege Casey Potts and his girlfriend Sharisse Monkman were with Glen Allen Abbott before he was found dead at an Onoway residence on Sunday, June 26, 2016.
Officers believe the trio attempted to steal a car at gunpoint from a woman and her six-year-old son as they left a graduation ceremony.
Monkman was arrested on robbery charges, RCMP said Monday.
Potts is now wanted for second-degree murder in relation to Abbott’s death. Potts is also wanted for attempted robbery.
Early last week, police ruled Abbott’s death a homicide, but did not release the cause of his death.
