KELOWNA– The Kelowna Fire Department was called out around 1 p.m. Thursday for a grass fire near Highway 97, near Scandia, an amusement centre off Fenwick Road.
They found a stack of pallets and nearby brush ablaze.
Crews contained the fire to less than a hectare along a walking trail that used to be the rail line.
Fire fighters quickly doused the flames and are continuing to put out hot spots.
