Bouncer at Surrey bar stabbed in neck; suspect arrested

UPDATE: On Sept. 13, RCMP said 25-year-old Brandon Teixeira from Surrey was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. Teixeira will stay in custody until his next court appearance.

RCMP are investigating after a man allegedly stabbed a bouncer at a Surrey bar early Sunday morning.

Mounties say they received a phone call from the Taphouse Bar on 102a Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. saying a staff member was stabbed after an altercation with a man at the front door. The suspect then fled the scene in a white Mercedes sedan.

The victim suffered stab wounds to his neck and was transported to hospital.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, approximately 5’10” tall with dark hair. He was wearing a light-coloured shirt and dark pants.
