Halifax Police are looking for a suspect after a man was assaulted just before 10 p.m. on Friday.
Police say a 27-year-old man reported being approached by another man in the area of Spring Garden Road and Carleton Street. The suspect is alleged to have asked the man for money and when victim said he didn’t have any, he was punched in the face.

The suspect is described as being white, wearing a ragged hat and plaid shirt. Police say he had salt and pepper hair and “squinty” eyes.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police or CrimeStoppers.
