AJAX, Ont. – Police say five people, including two children, were taken to hospital after an acquaintance released pepper spray into an apartment in Ajax, Ont.
Durham Regional Police say the incident began on Monday afternoon when a resident of the apartment got into an argument with a male acquaintance.
While the resident was trying to force the other man to leave, he was allegedly hit with pepper spray and retreated back into his apartment.
The acquaintance then re-entered the unit and released what police describe as a large amount of pepper spray into the home.
Three adults and two children were affected by the spray and taken to hospital for treatment.
Police say they are continuing to investigate the attack.
