Toronto Mayor John Tory and Ontario Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca is scheduled to make a transit announcement Tuesday morning.
It is expected both will discuss the progress of the city’s SmartTrack plan.

In March, city council endorsed the further study of two options for the transit plan which focused on a scaled down version of between four to eight stops.
The recommended SmartTrack concept will be up for debate at an executive committee meeting next week.
