Organizers say even though longboarding can look daunting, it’s a great sport that continues to grow.

“You see families come out, they’re taking their kids here and that’s something we want to go for, you know,” says organizer Ivan Nguyen, “We’re trying to break away from the skateboard norm and let everyone know that longboarding is a universal sport. A lot of people for different walks of life, they join us, they skate with us and it’s a great thing.”
