Alberta RCMP are asking the public for help after a Red Deer man claimed his motorhome had been deliberately set on fire.
Cochrane RCMP said the man escaped the partially burned motorhome at about 2:30 a.m. Monday. It was parked just off Highway 1 near Highway 40.

Police said an explosion was also reported in the area.
The man told police he awoke to “unknown person(s)” near his motorhome and that it had been set on fire. The 32-year-old has since been taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

The Calgary Police HAWCS helicopter along with police dogs looked for suspects as the investigation continues.
