Frost advisory issued for areas west and north of Calgary

Canada issued a frost advisory Friday for Airdrie, Cochrane, Olds, Sundre, Rocky Mountain House and Caroline.

The advisory warned frost could develop overnight so be sure to cover up frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to the reach freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
